Sometimes I just want to quit.
I mean, is it really worth it?
Why should I even try?
Am I really making a difference?
Does anyone really care?
What’s the point?
What can one guy do?
Is anybody listening?
Life would be much easier if I just stayed in my own lane and not worry about anyone else but me and my family.
Sometimes I just want to quit.
But I know I can’t.
The words of my friend, and mentor, Pastor Denny Denson, ring in my ears, “If you don’t constantly stir the pot, the people on the bottom get burned.”
Today is MLK Day. His words are still true, “In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies but the silence of our friends.”
And, “Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.”
Sometimes I want to quit.
But not today.
It’s Monday.
